NEW RECRUITS

want to be a skater?

Are you over the age of 18? Do you want to learn how to play roller derby?

In the New Recruit program, you will learn the basics of roller skating. You will learn to skate, fall, and stop safely from the Dub City coaches. Don’t have gear? No problem!  We have a limited supply of loaner gear for people wanting to come out and try.

If you already know how to skate, you can still show up so we can help further develop your skating skills, and teach you how to be a great derby player.

All New Recruit nights and practices are held at Wellington Boys and Girls Club at 1080 Wellington Trace, Wellington, FL 33414. Check out our Meet Up page for more information.

interested in
roller derby,
but not in playing?

Be an official! As an official, you'll be a crucial element to our derby family and community!

  • REFEREE - As a referee, you will learn to skate, along with all of the ins and outs of roller derby and WFTDA rules. You'll learn through practical experience and from our top notch team!

  • NON-SKATING OFFICIAL - As an NSO, you'll be officiating from the safety of your shoes! You'll be responsible for recording important stats, timing/tracking penalties or running the scoreboard at games.

No skating or officiating experience is necessary for either position - we'll teach you everything you need to know! Contact us at dubcityofficials@gmail.com to get started!
